So you’re an old-school fan of hard rock? No doubt, you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to shows in Melbourne.

Do you crave big, elaborate stadium rock?

Luckily, Melbourne’s got you covered, with Rod Laver Arena playing host to legendary British group Def Leppard next month!

Rock! Rock! ‘Till You Drop with Def Leppard

Hailing from that legendary period in rock history that also gave us names like Bon Jovi, AC/DC, KISS and Guns N’ Roses, Def Leppard are legends in the rock community.

Their influence goes far beyond your dad’s old record collection: they’re one of the most influential bands of their era, with their rock anthems being a milestone in the development of glam metal and even inspiring artists like Taylor Swift.

Even after all these years, their unique combination of hectic guitar riffs, harmonic vocals (who doesn’t love a good harmony?) and downright husky vocals mean they’re still a blast to listen to!

For one night only… Def Leppard!

  • When: Thursday 8th November
  • Where: Rod Laver Arena
  • Time: Doors open 6pm, Def Leppard 9:10pm

Normally when we cover these types of shows, you’ve got a couple of nights to choose from.

Not this time!

Def Leppard is only in town for one night. If you miss this one, you probably won’t get another chance for a while!

Their set revolves around their seminal album Hysteria – it’ll be performed from start to finish with other songs from the rest of their huge discography sprinkled in.

Released in 1987, Hysteria saw the boys from Sheffield, England bounce back from a rough year that among other things saw drummer Rick Allen lose one of his arms in a car accident.

That didn’t stop the rock heavyweights, who came out with an album filled to the top with back-to-back hits that redefined their sound, including Woman, Rocket, Armageddon It, Hysteria, and Love Bites.

There are still a couple of tickets left, but you better be quick to nab them! Click here to buy your tickets.

Don’t miss the support act either – Scorpions

Def Leppard aren’t the only ones putting on a show on the 8th. Accompanying the band are German outfit Scorpions, arguably their country’s most successful rock band.

Scorpions is much more than just an opener – they’re rock legends in their own right, responsible for rock hits like Wind of Change and Rock You Like A Hurricane.

Believe it or not, this will also be their first-ever Australian show.

Playing from 7:30pm, you won’t want to miss these very special guests!
