The Night Noodle Markets at Birrarung Marr

The Night Noodle Markets have quickly become one of the most hotly anticipated events of Melbourne’s annual calendar.

We’re leaving winter behind, the weather is starting to heat up, and daylight savings helps extend our evenings: Spring really is one of the best times of the year – and the Night Noodle Markets add to that exciting feeling that summer is just around the corner!

Make the most of your Night Noodle Markets experience

As one of the most popular spring/summer events in Melbourne’s CBD, it’s expected that every single night the markets run will be bursting with visitors!

That’s why we recommend doing a little research and pre-planning to ensure a seamless evening for you and your friends!

Check out the vast menu

Before heading to Birrarung Marr, do a bit of research on the menu and which foodie favourites will be attending.

Do you want to experience something you’ve never tried before?

Or will you be attending specifically to visit one of your favourite restaurant’s stall?

With more than 20 crowd favourites attending, it’s not a bad idea to familiarise yourself with who’ll be there and which stall you want to make a beeline for.

Of course, part of the experience includes strolling around the entire market to take in the sights and sounds.

But if your stomach is rumbling at you to hurry up and make a faster decision, you’ll have an idea of whose signage you’ll be looking out for!

Menus are up on Good Food Month’s website – so of course we’ve already examined them in detail!

Here are some of our top picks that we’ll be lining up for:

  • Grilled calamari from Bangkok Street Food
  • Crispy tuna tacos from Sash Japanese
  • Wasabi fries from Mr. Miyagi
  • Roast Pork Belly Gua Bao from Wonderbao

Explore all stallholders and full menus here.

Remember: the market is now cashless!

That’s right – no cash will be exchanged on the night, so don’t forget your card!

Cash-free aims to keep people moving – so you can spend less time counting coins and collecting change, and more time enjoying your food under the stars.

Get there early, if you can

The early bird catches the worm!

With thousands of visitors expected to attend the markets, it’ll be worth getting there as early as possible to the opening time on any given night.
