We’ve blogged before about Melbourne’s status as the food capital of Australia. As if that wasn’t enough, the city has also earned itself the well-deserved title as the events capital of Australia!

And it shows in the number of venues in Melbourne’s CBD: Hamer Hall, the Sidney Myer Music Bowl, Princess Theatre, Rod Laver Arena and the Forum Theatre (which, conveniently enough, is located mere steps from Le Garage!)

Yes, visit the city any time and you’ll find some sort of concert, show, or event going on, either from an up-and-coming local act all the way to the biggest international stars.

This week, we’ll be shining a spotlight on some of the more notable events planned for November at some of Melbourne’s biggest concert and entertainment venues!

What’s going on at the Forum Theatre?

Opened in 1929, the heritage-listed Forum Theatre plays host to acts big and small. It’s one of the key venues for the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, as well as up-and-coming local performances all the way up to massive international names such as Ozzy Osbourne, Katy Perry and Madonna.

Fact: the Forum theatre is literally steps from our Flinders Street car park! So if you’re attending any of these events in the near future, remember to book your spot online in advance to save!

Harry Styles at the Forum

Thursday, 30th November

March 25, 2015 – the day One Direction broke up (more or less). For many tween girls, it remains a day that gets tears flowing.

That being said, the individual members of 1D have been doing quite well for themselves!

Which brings us to Harry Styles. Fresh off his acting debut in Dunkirk and with a promising solo career ahead of him, the latest stop in the former 1D member’s world tour brings him to Melbourne’s very own Forum Theatre for one night only.

Demand is so high for everyone’s favourite 1D member that some global venues reported tickets selling out within seconds!

So if you’re a diehard Directioner – or, more likely, have a tween who is – and were lucky enough to nab a ticket before they all vanished, you’ll want to make sure you secure yourself no-fuss, affordable parking on Thursday, 30th of November!

Vance Joy at the Forum

Wednesday, 22nd November

From humble beginnings, Vance Joy has quickly became an international sensation, topping the charts not just domestically, but also in the US and all over Europe.

And with an international tour fresh in his memory and a brand new single, Lay It On Me released recently, the boy next door is returning to Melbourne with a spring in his step. To celebrate, he’s holding a one-night show at the Forum Theatre.

Joining him will be up-and-comer Gretta Ray, who at only 18 years old is already making a splash!

So if you’re a fan of indie music or just love the sound of acoustic guitars and ukuleles, this show is the place to be!

There’s no better option than Le Garage for safe, clean, and affordable Forum parking. Ensure you pre-book your spot online to take advantage of our super low parking rates.

What’s going on at Rod Laver Arena?

When it’s not busy playing host to the annual Australian Open, the first tennis grand slam event of the year, Rod Laver Arena is home to some of Melbourne’s most high-profile music and entertainment events.

With seating for up to 16,000 people, Rod Laver Arena is the home of the biggest events Melbourne has to offer. And the month of November is no exception! Here are just a handful of the events that the stadium is playing host to.

Drake

Saturday 18th, Sunday 19th, Monday 20th November

Drake’s music is a regular sight in the Billboard Hot 100 – so much so that since 2009, it’s easier to find a time when he wasn’t somewhere in the top 100! On top of that, he’s also the most streamed artist on Spotify and Apple Music! So even if you don’t listen to him, chances are you know at least one of his songs already.

One of the biggest names in music today, Drake’s Melbourne shows quickly sold out – in fact, tickets were snapped up so quickly, that a third show had to be hastily announced to meet overwhelming demand.

This show promises great entertainment for fans of rap, with a setlist spanning from his earliest days to his most recent releases. So if you’re a fan of Drake’s unique style and missed your opportunity before – or even a fan of Degrassi – make sure you snap up a ticket to one of his shows now!

Yusuf

Monday, 27th and Tuesday, 28th November

First finding fame in 1967 in a very different England from the one we know today, Yusuf’s (formerly known as Cat Stevens) discography is long and celebrated the world over.

While he may have spent almost three decades away from music, his 2006 return to music and recent albums An Other Cup, Roadsinger and Tell ‘Em I’m Gone prove that he’s still a musical force to be reckoned with!

The 50th anniversary tour promises an unmissable experience for all the oldies in the audience! Join thousands of other die-hard fans in enjoying a live performance of all Yusuf’s greatest hits, as well as music from his most recent releases.

Take That

Wednesday, 15th November

Dust off your old skater shirts, frost your tips and rip the knees off your (least) favourite pair of blue jeans because the 90s are back!

One of the UK’s most successful acts with a career spanning from 1990 to today, this English pop sensation returns to Melbourne this November for the first time in 22 years in what promises to be an electrifying show!

Relive that wonderful era right before the turn of the new millennium as members Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen run through a collection of their greatest hits including Back for Good, Never Forget and Relight my Fire, and as well as music from their newly released album, Wonderland.
