Spring is upon us once again, Melbourne!

As the month of September starts, we welcome more pleasing weather and, typical of Melbourne, a ton of things to see and do!

September is another great month for theatre and music in Melbourne.  The city has some exciting events just for you.

Anthony Callea and the MSO at Hamer Hall

  • Friday 8th September
  • 8pm
  • Hamer Hall, Arts Centre

Join singer Anthony Callea and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra (MSO) for a night of music and melody on Friday 8th September.

Anthony first gained recognition when he joined the 2004 season of Australian Idol. He made it to the Top 30 but failed to make the cut after the viewers voted. However, he was chosen as a wildcard contestant and after a stellar performance, he made it to the Top 12.

Anthony made it all the way to the finals and finished runner up, behind eventual winner Casey Donovan.

As soon as the competition ended, he was awarded a record deal, while his version of Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion’s The Prayer skyrocketed to the top of the charts.

Since 2004, Anthony has made a name for himself as one of the country’s top vocalists.  And he continues to share his vocal talents with the country.
