There’s only a few days left before Christmas!

No doubt we’re all gearing up for the best time of the year.

There will be food. There will be presents. There will be fun and laughter. And more importantly, there will be a lot of time spent with the whole family!

But the Christmas celebrations don’t need to end on that day!

There’s still Boxing Day to think about, which will no doubt excite a lot of Aussies, who last year spent an astounding $2.4 billion during the Boxing Day sales!

Thousands of items from hundreds of stores will be on sale, offering crazy deals and discounts, starting from the 26th of December.

In our opinion, the best shopping is in Melbourne’s CBD.

From the biggest department stores and high-end designers, to quirky shops and unique offerings, the city really does have it all.

No matter what you’re into (clothing, technology, art, books, electronics, or shoes!) the massive Boxing Day sales offer something for everyone.

Choose Le Garage for safe and affordable Boxing Day parking!

With dual entrance/exit on Flinders Street and Flinders Lane, getting in and out of the city couldn’t be easier. And of course, with arms laden with shopping bags, driving is clearly the most convenient of transport options.

This famous strip is located at the east end of the city – and best of all, it’s just a minute’s walk away from Le Garage!

Commonly referred to as the Paris End, it is famous for having boutique shops from world-class luxury brands, including Hermès, Bally, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Cartier, and much more.

Generally bordered by Swanston Street on the westside and Spring Street on the east, Collins Street shopping guarantees a luxurious experience like no other.

By now, you’re probably a little tired and hungry, and ready for a quick pit-stop.

Within walking distance from the mall, you’ll find heaps of cheap and cheerful cafes to rest and re-energise!

Boxing Day Test

In Melbourne, Boxing Day is perhaps known by two things, and the shopping is one of them.

The other? The Boxing Day Test, of course!

If shopping isn’t really your thing, you might be keen to hit the MCG during the summer holidays (we miss you, footy!) for the first day of the Boxing Day test.

Our Australian team has its work cut out for it, as we take on the world’s best, India.

The tour begins on Boxing Day and runs until Sunday, 30th December, with the match starting at 10:30am each day.

Important MCG parking info for the Boxing Day test

Please note: the MCG will NOT be offering Yarra Park parking during the first two days of the test – so that includes Boxing Day.

With an estimated attendance of 70,000 on Boxing Day, you might be scratching your head thinking about where you’ll be able to park.

Le Garage to the rescue!
