The catwalks are dominated by a return to 90s fashions. Our cinemas are flooded with remakes of (or sequels to) beloved childhood classics. Vinyl is making a comeback.
Yes, nostalgia is very much in fashion right now!
And Arts Centre Melbourne is getting in on the action, with not one, but two fantastic 70s throwbacks this May.
This May, Arts Centre Melbourne will house not only one but two international performances: Bjorn Again and Lazarus by the late David Bowie.
But first: where to go for Arts Centre parking
Located on the banks of the Yarra directly facing Melbourne’s CBD, Arts Centre Melbourne has theatres, halls, auditoriums galore.
One thing it doesn’t have however is an affordable parking option.
Luckily, Le Garage has you covered.
You can rest easy knowing you’ve guaranteed yourself a safe, clean, and convenient parking space with Le Garage. Our Flinders St Parking garage is a short 8-minute walk away from Arts Centre Melbourne, making us the perfect choice for your night out.

It’s finally happening – after 35 years apart, ABBA has announced that they’re getting back together… and writing new music to boot!
While details are scant and there are no dates attached to the revival just yet, this is no doubt great news for ABBA fanatics who’ve waited literal decades to see their favourite stars on the stage.
Until the reunion comes together however, we’ve always got Björn Again.
Formed right here in Australia, this world-renowned tribute band is the closest we’re going to get to a reformed ABBA for the time being.
And they’ll be here in Melbourne this May!

“Björn Volvo-us”, “Agnetha Falstart”, “Benny Anderwear” and “Frida Longstokin” take to the stage at Hamer Hall, faithfully recreating ABBA’s biggest hits from Mamma Mia, Dancing Queen, Thank You for the Music and many more.
They’re not the only musical legends taking the stage this May however – they’ll be joined on-stage by the one and only Elton Jack!
California-born Lance Strauss dons the iconic glasses and flamboyant costuming Elton John is known for, accurately performing hit classics like Candle in the Wind, Your Song, Tiny Dancer and many more.

Lazarus Musical in Melbourne
- When: Saturday 18th May to Wednesday 5th June
- Time: Various
- Where: Playhouse, Arts Centre
While tragically no longer with us, David Bowie’s work lives on in Lazarus, one of his final projects.
For those unfamiliar with the biblical tale, Lazarus is a story of resurrection – quite a fitting name given the circumstances.

The story then revolves to the arrival of another lost soul that will finally set him free.
This production marks the Australian premiere of Lazarus, with previous productions in New York, London, Vienna, Hamburn and other parts of the world.
Featuring twenty songs, including classics like Life on Mars? and Heroes as well as four new tracks, this production pulls from Bowie’s extensive back catalogue, with Australian actor and Broadway performer Chris Ryan bringing Bowie’s music to life again.
