If you pay close attention to the indie rock scene (or listened to the radio at any point since, say, 2009), this is a name you’re no doubt already familiar with!

Made up of Alex Trimble (vocals), Sam Halliday (bass), and Kevin Baird (drums), this Northern Irish trio is back in Melbourne for one night only!

After a 2-year absence, they’re now on the road promoting the release of their 4th album False Alarm.

With their distinct energetic and poppy sound and a whole suite of toe-tappers, Two Door Cinema Club has established themselves as a major act – almost 5 million monthly Spotify listens can’t be wrong!

And when they visit Melbourne later this month, they’ll be bringing their new sound with them.

Over the years, their music has downshifted to include more synth and electronic elements, and an 80s-inspired sound.

Make no mistake however – it’s still the same sharp lyrics, creative songwriting and energetic indie rock that made them into such a big name in the first place!

Attendees can expect a setlist that draws heavily from their most recent album, with songs such as Talk, Satellite and Dirty Air.

Fans of the older sound, fret not – in addition to their most recent work, you can expect to hear the songs that put them on the map like I Can Talk and Something Good Can Work to make appearances.

As Melbourne’s music capital, the city has a unique ability to bring in some of the world’s largest artists. This November is no exception.

LA-based artist Lauv is returning to Australia this November for a second tour following a successful show last year.

With over 3.5 billion streams since first hitting the scene in 2015, Lauv is one of the biggest acts around. Going off Spotify data, he’s the world’s 41st largest artist – no mean feat given how recently he first started performing!

Lauv’s 2019 tour will see him visiting Brisbane, Sydney, and of course, Melbourne.

Expect to listen to Lauv’s hits from his album How I’m Feeling including the songs Sad Forever and I’m So Tired, released earlier this year.

His emotional, unique, and powerful electronic pop music and vocals imbue his songs with an intimate and profound vibe – no wonder his music is such a hit!
