Enrich your life with music and fashion this September!
This month is an exciting time for musical theatre and fashion lovers in Melbourne. Whether you have a penchant for either or both, you will love what’s in store for you this September!
And for those who might not always be into watching people sing on stage or models strutting on the runway but want to try something new, we dare you to check out The Bodyguard and Melbourne Fashion Week!
Fall in love with The Bodyguard at the Regent Theatre
- Regent Theatre, 191 Collins Street
- 24th August – 27th October, 2017
Based on the box office film of Kevin Costner and the late Whitney Houston, the musical theatre version of The Bodyguard is finally in Melbourne! Fall in love all over again with the story of Frank Farmer and Rachel Marron, and sing along to your favourite Whitney hits including:
- I Wanna Dance with Somebody
- I Have Nothing
- Greatest Love of All
- Run to You
And who can forget one of the most iconic love songs of all time: I Will Always Love You.
Headlining cast members are Paulini Curuenavuli and Kip Gamblin.
Paulini is one of Australia’s most talented performers. She stole the audience’s hearts with her powerhouse vocals during the very first run of Australian Idol (way back in 2003!) Since then, she has released four studio albums and taken home two ARIA awards. She will be making her musical theatre debut in The Bodyguard as Rachel.
Alongside Paulini’s Rachel is Kip Gamblin as Frank Farmer.
Kip is no stranger to the stage! The versatile performer, who you probably recognise from Home & Away, All Saints, and Neighbours is also a seasoned stage performer. He has awed audiences with his ballet performances for various Australian ballet companies including the Australian Ballet and the Sydney Dance Company.
