The xx

  • Sunday, 14th January
  • Forum Theatre

Possibly one of the coolest bands to emerge from the UK over the past decade, Melbourne is lucky enough to welcome back The xx this January!

Due to (understandably!) overwhelming demand, Frontier Touring announced a second special show to take place at the Forum Theatre on Sunday, 14th January 2018. (The first show takes place on Saturday 13th January at Sidney Myer Music Bowl.)

In an incredible move, proceeds from ticket sales at the Forum will go to two very special local charities:

Heaps Decent

Heaps Decent is a local charity dedicated to supporting young and emerging artists from disadvantaged communities. Find out more about this great organisation here.

Minus 18 is a youth organisation supporting LGBTIQ people. Their mission is clear: to “create a better world” through events, support, workshops, and campaigns. Find out more here.

Formed by school friends Oliver Sim and Romy Madley Croft in 2005, the indie pop trio made waves after the release of their debut album, xx, in 2009.

By 2010, they’d played at five of North America’s biggest music festivals, including Coachella and Lollapalooza.

This tour is in support of their latest album, I See You, released last year. The I See You Tour began in February 2017 and has taken the band across Europe, North and Latin America, and Australia. The tour wraps in February 2018 in Japan.

Don’t miss out – their first show has sold out so you won’t want to miss this special second show! Get your tickets from Ticketmaster.

Priscilla, Queen of the Desert

  • Begins Sunday 21st January 2018 until April 2018
  • Regent Theatre

Let your inner diva run wild and catch Australia’s most successful homegrown musical, Priscilla, Queen of the Desert!

Based on the award winning and critically acclaimed film The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, the musical follows the hysterically funny adventure of three friends on their way to Alice Springs for a drag show.

Heading the cast of the musical Melbourne run is Tony and Olivier nominated actor Tony Sheldon. He’s back to reprise the role of Bernadette, which he played when the show debuted in Australia back in 2006!

Joining Tony Sheldon are David Harris and Euan Doidge – no strangers to the stage! – as Mitzi and Felicia.

If you’re looking for a night filled with glam, laughter, and some of your favourite karaoke songs, you simply cannot miss Priscilla, Queen of the Desert at the Regent Theatre!

Make sure you get tickets for you and your fab friends here.
