It’s hard to believe winter’s almost over!

And while we won’t be reaching scorching summer temperatures too soon, the spring staples are already starting to make themselves known:

  • The AFL home-and-away season has just wrapped and the finals are about to kick off
  • The weather is significantly improving (except for some still-chilly mornings!)
  • Hayfever season is about to begin (or for some of us, has already begun!)

This particular September is pretty special, too.

After all, it’s not every month you get to see one of Australia’s fastest growing local artists playing to a sold-out stadium with thousands of other fans!

Vance Joy’s Nation of Two Tour

When: Saturday 8th and 15th September, 2018

Where: Rod Laver Arena

Time: 7:15pm

If you’re a big fan of the softly-spoken, acoustic guitar coffee-shop sound, this is one show you won’t want to miss.

ARIA-winning indie darling Vance Joy lays on another show for local fans.

Featuring an expanded setlist with an entire second album to draw from, a bigger venue, and multiple opening acts (Cub Sport and Didirri, and an additional guest, Jack River, for the 8th September show only) this promises to offer indie music fans more of what they’ve come to love from Vance Joy.

And it won’t just be Melbourne that will be graced by the locally-grown sensation either – we’re just one of the first stops on a worldwide tour that includes South America, Europe, and the UK.

This is the culmination of what has so far been a huge year for the Aussie songsmith.

A new album in February, millions of streams, and a cover piece on the final edition of Rolling Stone Australia are just some of the highlights of Vance Joy’s 2018 so far.

Wasn’t he just in Melbourne?

You’re 100% correct! If you stay on top of what shows are going on, you might remember Vance Joy’s previous stint in Melbourne last November. You might even have been there yourself!

Promoting the release of his second album Nation of Two, this creatively-titled tour is a tad larger than the last one, to say the least.

Vance Joy has experienced a lot of growth in the past 12 months. As such, he’s upgraded from the Forum Theatre (around 2000 guests) to Rod Laver Arena (15,000 guests!)

Need affordable, convenient Rod Laver Arena parking?

If you’re looking to catch Vance Joy this September, you’ll need to move fast – tickets to his first Melbourne show are already sold out, and the second looks set to follow!

And of course, you can’t forget about parking either.

We’re not going to beat around the bush – Rod Laver Arena parking is expensive. Event parking climbs as high as $30 for the night!

And that’s assuming there are even any spots left – after all, with 15,000 other concertgoers, that’s a lot of potential competition for parking.

Fortunately, you have options – and the best option? Le Garage, of course.
